On 4-7-22 at seven pm a human being chosen me and told me I was a second identify winner in the Winner's International Sweepstakes sponsored by Publisher'south Immigration House. His name was Mike **. His phone number call came from Jamaica, which is an island in the Caribbean. It is also the name of a city in Queens on Long Isle, NY. He said he was calling me from Washington DC. He said I won ii.v million dollars and a make new Mercedes Benz. He asked me a lot of personal questions virtually my finances and my debts. After much back and forth talk until ix pm I told him I had to become to bed. He said he would telephone call me back in the morning time.

Adjacent morning he called at 10:xxx am PST. He said the company told him they paid for 99% of the taxes for me and that I had to pay the remaining 1% taxes before they would release the 2.5 one thousand thousand dollars to me. I needed to pay $2886 before I could get the money. Since I worked for the IRS for xv years back in the 70s and 80s I knew meliorate than to believe that scam. How can I pay taxes on coin I do not have yet and how tin can a company pay taxes for me before they even give me the money.

Mike gave me the last four digits of the certified cheque's number and he gave me a Prize Package number **. He said they would be sending me the legal documents in the mail, he already had my accost too. He said later on I fill out the legal documents and ship them back with the coin then I would go the 2.v million and the Mercedez Benz. I kept telling him this is a scam and he was trying to scam me. He kept trying to "explain" to me why it was non a scam. It got to the point that I hung upwardly on him and blocked his phone number.

Mail overnight. Mentioned my name came from either shopping at Walmart, Kroger, etc. My home number was used to contact me. I do non utilize home number for people to contact me because I might miss an important particular. Always use prison cell number. Sounds besides good to be true and then did not bother. I received a call today that said I was a second place prize winner from Kansas and won $2.5 million dollars and a 2022 Chevy Malibu (that was black). Having been scammed earlier, I was very leary. This was DEFINITELY NOT Publisher's Clearing House! After taking down a bunch of numbers, etc., "All you have to practise is pay ane% of the corporeality." Just get to WalMart and receive a specific document, etc. I asked why I had to pay this. $485. If I were truly winning something I wouldn't have to pay. He said I wouldn't ever take to pay taxes on my winning! He said it would all be refunded in the bank check I would be getting. Why would I take to pay and turn effectually for a refund. I asked many questions. I asked for a phone number -- the number I received was a local number.

My co-worker chosen the number and it went to Magic Jack. I asked to speak to someone else in his company and he put me through to the person who would be giving me the cheque. I was on the BBB site reading these ratings. This second man was telling me the same things. I chosen him out that it was a scam and that I was reading the reviews from the BBB and no one received any coin, etc. I read him parts of the ratings and he hung up on me. The other guy called back maxim we were asunder. I told him information technology was his friend who asunder me. In the concurrently, we called the number back they were calling from and it was from Jamaica. The number on the BBB site for the company was from Magic Jack.

I told this man that I would meet them at the Sheriff's Officer for the transaction and he actually told me that nosotros could practice that. I then told him I would go to the SO and he could tell them the aforementioned things he's telling me and we'll run across if it's a scam. I took all my information to the SO and the officer told me this was goose egg unusual for a scammer. They kept all the data and would exist investigating. I was concerned nearly how they got my information. He said information technology was from a purchased phonebook -- fifty-fifty though I don't accept a landline -- there are cell phone phonebooks. BE Enlightened OF WHO You'RE TALKING TO. DON'T BE SCAMMED!

I was chosen by some guy and I pretended to be a machine. He told me I won 2.three mil. greenbacks bank check and 5,500 weekly plus a Mercedes Benz 2022 cinnamon blue. I kept playing along. He then gave me a bundle lawmaking and winning bank check number. He didn't know my accost or anything but said within 1 hr I would be receiving my coin with a news reporter who would be putting me on T.5. and local newspapers. Even asked me for a secondary beneficiary and to get all dressed up in my best clothes. So I gave him my address and and then asked him to repeat it dorsum to me and he hung up.

No existent sweepstakes would hang up plus he kept calling woman names like Kimberly ** "He." Plus he kept saying my money was at the embassy awaiting for the green calorie-free lol. All I had to do was get to Dollar General, CVS, or a Walgreen to get a claimers menu named "Moneypak scratch carte du jour" and not to testify it to anyone or tell anyone about it. The guy was plainly reading from what's known equally a "Question key card." Information technology's literally merely a starting statement and and so a whole bunch of answers for the average excuses nosotros would use, and and then a ending understanding. Just this guy never got to the end with me lol.

I simply kept playing stupid. If you e'er go the gamble!!!! And you're non busy. Go along them on the line for as long as you can!!!! They waste time and money and yous save others. If I could I would call them back and get them to keep doing this with me. Even tell them. "Stay on the line!!! I'm headed to {such and such} shop correct now!!!!" I might fifty-fifty bulldoze around the block a few times lol. Tell them the shop is only an hr away. Bwahahaha.

A human with an Indian accent named Don ** from a number in Plandome, NY called to say I won 1.5 million and a 2022 Mercedes Benz from a sweepstakes I was entered in by Bank of America for paying my bills on fourth dimension. I needed to verify my winnings by sending 499.00 to Karen ** thru Walmart to Walmart transfer. I said I didn't have that much coin and he dropped the corporeality to 199.95. Merely to see, my husband went to the Money Eye in Walmart and tried to send the money only of course information technology wouldn't become through because it was accounted a scam.

I stayed home on the phone with Don every bit to not miss the truck coming from Fort Wayne, IN (45 min away) with my new car. Don then Advised my hubby to get to Walgreens to send it by Western Union. Again- wouldn't become thru. Of grade! Don called back and I said "Squeamish try, Don" and hung upwardly. He was my all-time friend the whole fourth dimension we talked. Lol. Can't expect to phone call back and bother THEM every bit oftentimes as possible!

They are very persistent scammers. My "rep" a Chinese homo probably early 40'due south calling himself Mr Benjamin **?? Told me I had won a second prize of $1.4m plus $1k per calendar month for 52 months. Also went on to how I was entered in the Sweepstake! (They appeared to have learned this was a weak spot in their spiel.) Some claptrap about being a customer of Walmart. He already had my accost and email - When he got around to asking what banking concern I used, he had previously mentioned that the check would be certified by Bank of America and also by Wells Fargo?? I explained that those questions would accept to wait until I did my due diligence and authenticated his visitor, equally he had stressed the importance of security! Plus I bodacious him this was merely routine. I too told him my executor would probably also contact him every bit a matter of routine! He bodacious me he would ring me back. I have the feeling that he will not. July 18th at 1215.
